What I learned in Week 10

This week was a very interesting week in College Football. There were some great games, and some real surprises this week that will probably shake up the polls enough to accomplish the goals of the BCS hating faction of fans out there.I look forward to the rest of the football season, because things are really starting to take shape. You are really starting to see who is real, and who is only pretending to be a real team. So let’s break down what I learned this week.
TCU is the real deal

Yes, I said it,The TCU Horned Frogs are the real deal and I think after their all out beat down of a top 5 Utah team they should be in consideration for the National Championship. I do realize they will need some help, but at this point, I feel like TCU could go out and compete and probably beat anybody in the top 25 on a given Saturday. Keep an eye on this team, they will be making a lot of noise heading into the final month of the season.

Oregon Shows flaws and brings up questions

Yes, I know they did end up winning by a large margin of victory, but it didn’t happen until late in the game. This team got shown for the fraud that it tends to be. A very poor Washington team kept this team quiet for an entire half. This had shades of the Stanford game all over again. After watching this game, I don’t see how anyone could say with a clear thought that Oregon deserves to be a top 2 team. This team will suffer a loss before the end of the season, You can’t play flawed football and go undefeated.

Auburn beats a nobody to stay Number 1

Auburn decided that it would be a good idea to thrown in an FCS team in November. I know this game was scheduled before this season but to me that seems like a decision that should now hurt the Tigers. Because you should not play a powder puff game this late in the season. If I am a poll voter today, I would drop Auburn out of the number one spot just to make a statement that powder puff games in November will not be tolerated.
Oklahoma State may be the best team in the Big XII right now

As much of the Big XII as I have watched this season, I am coming to the conclusion that Oklahoma State is probably the best team in the conference right now. They are playing the best out of any team in the conference. It is going to be strange, if this holds up to see an Oklahoma State team in the Big XII championship. But they still have to play Oklahoma. So anything is possible at this point in time. But I would say that if we have an Oklahoma State, Nebraska rematch in Dallas, Oklahoma State would probably win.

Cam Newton Thoughts

I will not say much on this whole Cam Newton story because I don’t want to live in speculation. There is no proof of any wrong doing, There is no solid evidence of taking any money on his part, or on his family’s part. Right now I won’t punish the kid for some rumor who may have been leaked because someone wants to derail his success. It is ashamed that after all that has gone on in College Football, we are so quick to give a guilty verdict before we are aware of the full story. Let this all play out before we start taking accolades away from the kid.

With that being said, I now turn my attention to next weekend and start looking forward to what excitement the games will bring. It is truly ashamed that this season starts and ends so quickly, because it is the most exciting sport right now. This week was a very interesting week in College Football.
