In the weeks after June Jones surprisingly resigned, there has been a lot of speculation over who could wind up being the next Head Coach on the hilltop. Right now, the Mustangs are in a deep mess and need to look at serious candidates who can bring in some the superb local talent and fire up a fan base which has been very slow to return. While it was a surprise to most within the program to see Jones leave, the coaching staff is working hard to turn this season around and make sure they can end on a high note. Interim Head Coach Tom Mason may be coaching for a full-time head coaching job, but there will be plenty of rumors about possible names to fill the spot vacated by June Jones. On a typical Saturday afternoon at Ford Stadium, it was a “moot” point to most fans in attendance the visiting Texas A&M Aggies would walk out of here with a victory. But the underdog Mustangs came out with a fire under their rear end to ignite some excitement from the mostly maroon clad crowd.Twitter and Facebook

This coming season the Texas A&M Aggies will venture into a new era of Aggie football. After having two successful seasons and surpassing most peoples expectations. While most Aggie fans realize this season will be harder than the last two, they seem to think they will still be able to compete in the Southeastern Conference without Johnny Manziel.
The Louisiana-Monroe War hawks are coming off of an interesting 2013 where they expected to compete for a conference championship, but they ended up falling short of that goal and would up ending the season 6-6. This year they have an easy start to the year with back to back home games against winnable opponents. But then they start a tough road with a game at LSU and also have to travel to College Station before the end of the season also. This team should be able to rebound with a better season, but it depends how they start the year. They could be an eight or nine win team if everything falls into place. The LSU Tigers are coming off somewhat of a let down from last season, they ended the year on a three game win streak and won their Outback Bowl appearance against Iowa. But for most fans this was far short of National Championship expectations, but ending the season 10-3 is a solid record. Les Miles will look to have a vast improvement going into this season, especially since Alabama will be breaking in a new quarterback and may not be as dominant as they have been.
