If you haven’t been paying attention to the Texas Rangers, then you have been missing all the excitement. The season started off bad, but things started to turn around in May and have continued into this month. While there is still a lot of season to go, a lot of the production and help is coming from guys who weren’t even expected to be up in the majors this season. While most fans had little to no expectations on this season, they are starting to prove everyone wrong and now they could possibly be in position for a post season run when it matters most.
There is some hope with some of the big names coming back between now and September, but at the same time, it could also hurt chemistry of a team which seems to be playing better each game. There are some similarities with the 2010 Rangers team who made the first World Series run. That teams were just a bunch of guys who got hot at the perfect time, and most of them were relatively unknown guys to the rest of the league. The season is long, and it could take its toll, but right now the Rangers are hot, climbing up the standings and seem to be one of the hottest teams in baseball.
I’m not saying this team can go all the way, but they could make it a lot more fun going forward through the summer months. Only time will tell if they have what it takes to make that run. Please be sure to follow me on Twitter and Facebook
