Quarterback David Ash was named the Davey O’Brien player of the week after leading the Longhorns to a 66-31 victory over Ole Miss in Oxford. The win gave the Longhorns their 3rd straight 3-0 start, Ash has started all three games this season and has quieted the QB controversy on the 40 acres for the time being. Ash was calm, cool and collect in the pocket on Saturday night as he went 19-23 for a career high 326 yards and four touchdowns. He had completed 15 consecutive passes at one point of the night.
